“ Brand: Argos / Type: Drawer Chest „
Bought the Napoli chest of draws to go with the napoli wardrobe to go in the new flat. This chest of draws wasn't available to take home there and then from Argos I had to pay for a home delivery which was £8.99. I thought this was a little unfair because I wanted to take the item home but they made me take the wardrobe but wouldn't let me take these. I bought two of these from Argos at £59.99. This is a reasonable price considering that 4 draw chests are about £50 this is only £9.99 extra for one draw.
=== Assembling ===
There's nothing out the ordinary when assembling this chest of draws. The draws themselves are a standard structure, each side is already attached to each other, they just fold together and then you screw the front of the draws on. It takes around 45 minutes to assemble all these draws in full and we have two of these so altogether we had 10 draws to make up. The frame itself is pretty self explanatory, each side was obvious and the screw holes are clearly marked. You can have one of these draws full made up in an hour if you are speedy with a screw driver, however we found that these hard to screw together, you'd get them in so far and then they'd start to get really stiff and we ended up with blisters.
Like I said there is nothing out the ordinary when it comes to these chest of draws, it's just 5 draws high, which comes just above my waist and I'm 5ft 2in. The colour of this to me is a deep brown colour, but argos have called this "wenge" if anything I bought it due to it's stupid colour name, that and there was no black option. Wenge was the closest Napoli item to black which is the only reason I got this colour.
=== Durability ===
When ours arrived through delivery one was already damaged, it had a chip on the underside of the top, luckily it's underneath and can't be seen. Apart from this the chests are really sturdy and because they have more draws so they have more items in them it makes them more solid and not at all rickety. These don't have runners on the draws and are a little stiff to pull out but only on one of the drawer chests. I don't mind too much, they might loosen up once I start ramming my clothes in there, either that or it will jam up knowing my luck.
Overall paying the extra £9.99 for an extra draw does seem a little unnecessary due to not actually needing the space although in the long run it will come in handy. There's nothing special about this furniture item but it looks a lot better than a wardrobe.
