We bought a B&Q kitchen - never again. Fitting quote was wrong in B&Q's favour [sorry sir that's a mistake - oh it actually costs half of that to take the old units away; we will correct the quote imediately; oh sorry again did we quote for certifying the gas installation when you're all electric...]. Check any quote you get with a fine tooth comb. Of course, you won't see the important things they've missed but you may spot the stuff that shouldn't be there. Took months to get round to fitting; worktops were sent back four times (yes four times); lots of bits missing and broken; fitter was untidy and very slow (9 days with my kitchen in bits and out of bounds - it's not very big); so slovenly in fact that he didn't notice he'd scratched my oven door and chipped the handle; fitted the cooker hood and splashback incorrectly; electrician didn't make good the hole he made. I'll have to wait a few weeks before they'll get round to finishing the job and replacing worktops, a door a shelf and some other bits and bobs. Talking about holes, a new hole for drainage was made through the wall. The pipes from the old drainage were removed leaving a hole in the outside brickwork - sharp intake of breath - nothing to do with us guv, we make the hole you have to fill it yourself (so that means a builder to knock out the brick). The new darinage was fitted without thought - now the dishwasher sticks out much further than the washing machine. Handles; sorry they don't come with the kitchen you'll need to buy them separately. Whatever offer they have, believe me they are making a packet. There is a massive mark-up on kitchens and even more on fitting. If you must buy from B&Q, use a local tradesman to fit it - that's what B&Q will do and they will put on a whopping markup to boot.

Summary: If you need a kitchen take the advice of a local tradesman
