Advantages: The fitters.

Disadvantages: Chaotic, disorganised, untrained and disinterested staff.

Please, please, please do not have a B and Q kitchen installed by them! I have had the experience from hell and it is still not resolved. I will post more details later, but I wish to tell prospective buyers that an Essex B and Q installation service today (June 29, 2009), is said to be in the hands of the receivers. Apparantly all Essex fitters will be withdrawn from the business as from this week. Sub-contracted fitters have not been paid, so therefore will not be finishing work that they have started. That includes work on my kitchen! I found the staff in the store I ordered from to be blank and disinterested when I presented problems to them, and they completely failed to try and solve them. The installation firm tried to fob me off time and time again. They appeared to lie to me and failed to ring me back on many occasions. The staff appeared ill-trained and unconcerned at my plight. I was left without use of my kitchen sink and washing machine for two weeks because of their incompetence. The overall fitter "in charge" of my kitchen was useless, constantly fobbing me off and failing to do his job. But the two guys, father and son, who actually put my kitchen in (as far as it went) were brilliant! I will recommend them to anyone! This service was the only light at the end of the tunnel. My kitchen was a my retirement present to myself. I chose someone to do it because I wanted a managed, stress-free experience! What a joke! Every day was a fight to have what I had paid for, and I still have not got it. I so wish that I had managed the project myself. I shall be taking my detailed complaints as far as I can, to discredit these imposters of kitchen fitting. So be warned!

Summary: Horrible experience to date. Once they get your money they are not interested.
