Advantages: Lovely design, folds easily, comfortable for children of all ages

Disadvantages: --------------

Last year my nine year old granddaughter received this folding Bratz chair for her birthday and it's now a permanent piece of furniture in my daughters living room.

The chair is suitable from age three, but because it's so sturdy and such a comfortable shape everyone in her house is able to sit on it without it collapsing! It's mainly used by my fifteen month old granddaughter though because she can lean back into the chair and it allows her to sit and watch her DVD or look at her book in comfort.

The chair itself is a bright pink fabric decorated with a large picture of two of the Bratz girls which covers the back of the chair. My granddaughter reliably tells me they are Chloe and Yasmin, they are wearing clothes from the Bratz Rock Chick range and this makes the chair look very funky and trendy enough to put in a pre-teenagers bedroom.

The frame is metal which has been coated in an attractive pink plastic which makes the chair look very girly (as if the pure pink seat wasn't a dead giveaway) and means that little girls of any age will love it.

The seat looks to be very comfortable, the shape of it puts me in mind of one of the diary room chairs in one of the earlier Big Brother series and I think they dubbed it the 'egg' chair or something like that. It's nicely padded and my nine year old granddaughter has sat in it for over an hour while watching a film without complaining about comfort. Sometimes her big sister will sit in it and she also looks to be comfortable, although being a tall lanky thing her knees are up underneath her chin!

The folding mechanism is very easy to use, you just have to press in a metal pin on each side of the frame and the chair will lower itself into a near enough flat position for storage or transportation. I found the fold up to be a little stiff the first couple of times but my son in law sprayed the joins with WD40 and since then it has been easy to fold away, not that it gets folded up very often because everyone likes it so much!

I like that the chair is so easy to keep clean because the fabric of the seat is simple to wipe over with a hot soapy cloth, be aware that it doesn't come off the frame for washing in the machine so whenever you notice a mark or stain on it I'd recommend wiping it straight away so that the stain doesn't have time to set into the fabric.

I think this chair is fantastic, and so do all my granddaughters. The baby seems to have taken it for herself and gets very annoyed when she sees someone else sitting in the Bratz chair, she was even spotted trying to drag it into the garden the other day which was no mean feat considering the chair stands as tall as she is and although not heavy is certainly very bulky for such a little girl to be pulling around the house!

The Bratz chair cost £19.99 last year, but I've just had a look online and it can be purchased for just £9.99 in Babies R Us now, which at half price is a bargain for the amount of use your chair will get.

Summary: A gorgeous chair which is just for children.
