Advantages: durable, colourful, easy to wipe clean, safe for little fingers,
Disadvantages: Could be a little bigger for the price/not have the board seperating it into 2 sections.
I purchased this toy box for my son when he was around 6 months as his small toys and rattles were beginning to to take over the house.
I bought it from Argos and it cost £44.99 or thereabouts but as you can see from above it is cheaper now, it was around a year and a half almost 2 that I got it so seems a fair price.
Anyway it comes flat packed with instructions and is very easily put together even by myself (yes, a female!) and I don't think I needed any additional tools, if I did it would only have been a simple screwdriver so 10/10 for that aspect.
It's very bright and colourful, easily catching a childs eye, my little one is almost 2 and a half and still loves this box, he loves sitting on it saying choo choo!
It is split into 2 seperate sections and each is large enough to hold a decent amount of toys although bigger ones such as the early learning centre, rocket, pirate ship etc was much too large. Rattles, cars, building blocks, books all fit in very easily. The lids are easy to open, my son was able to open it from when he was crawling over so around 10 months. It has to be pushed closed again which makes it safe for little fingers, I have never seen my son get his fingers trapped or caught so again a definate good feature.
It's so simple to clean, a quick wipe over is all it needs, no scrubbing or fancy products needed just a cloth and hot water and a squirt of dettol to rid it of bacteria.
As I said the box is 18months old at least and it's still in excellent condition, no marks/scuffs/scratches or any other visable damage this is not due to being careful with it though, my son regularly rammed it when he was in his baby walker, it has been hit, things thrown at it, sat on and played with a lot and is still in like new condition.
This is an excellent buy for money and I would highly recommend it.
Summary: All round a brilliant toy box that lasts well, is easily cleaned and very colourful.
