The top of the unit is also spacious enough to hold your TV and some ornaments, cordless phone or anything else you may want to put on there.
One thing I will say is that it is rather low to the ground, we thought it would be off-putting to start with but actually works very well. (The dimensions are listed on the products homepage so it was our fault for not measuring first).

A great stylish looking TV unit. Ordered from Argos in the sale, so got it for quite a bargain. It was rather easy to assemble, everything clearly labeled and even comes with some wood glue. It holds up to a 32" TV and the two compartments in the bottom hold my XBOX, DVD Player and a Virgin Media set-top box very comfortably (with room to spare to rest your remote controls on top of the boxes).
