Advantages: Some nice sofas

Disadvantages: Those adverts!

We moved house and as first time buyers needed to kit the place out from top to toe. Needless to say the DFS offer of a year payment free and reduced prices looked very tempting.

Needless to say we went and chose a sofa and signed up for the deal. Maybe we're naive but we thought that the sofa as advertised was the price to be paid. By the time 'stain proofing' was added it was nearly £100 more (now a year later that £100 could be very handy and the sofa is stain free natch.)

On the plus side the staff weren't pushy or overbearing and the offer of a year payment free was very welcome at the time. On the bad side the finance was by GE money who messed up the payments leaving me with an unauthorised overdraft after they took a payment from my account despite the sofa being paid. Of course then trying to contact GE.m was a nightmare and I was eventually told I'd be refunded in 'a few weeks'.....very specific.

The payment was eventually returned and the sofa is comfortable and thankfully paid off, I'd be wary in the future.

Summary: So when does the sale end?
