Advantages: Hard wearing 'chassis',Attractive design, good value, comfortable

Disadvantages: Naff image,Awful adverts, Loose covers do wear out

I hate the adverts and hate the image but - much as it pains me to admit it- we've had a DFS 3 seater, 2 seater and chair sofa-set for about 14 years now (they still sell it believe it or not - the 'Vienna' ) and they're all still going strong and still very comfortable; Okay the covers are worn, grubby, frayed and past it now (I notice they currently throw in a free extra set of covers with it) but they've survived 2 kids and 2 dogs that we didn't have when we first bought them (a word of caution - never go for cream/white as a colour if kids and/or dogs are involved!). The springs, arms and frame are all fine (apart from the single-chair springs which are goosed, though it's still useable) and they've had some serious abuse over the years.
Anyway, we've taken the plunge and have rewarded such sterling service by going for another DFS sofa suite (leather this time- to avoid the cover deterioration) and if it does anything like as well then we'll be happy. Hopefully the build quality hasn't been compromised in the last 14 years.
But as for those bloody adverts..........

Summary: Hope they still make them like this!
