Advantages: Great to put your feet up, interest free credit

Disadvantages: Creaky mechanism

Due to moving around quite a bit before we finally took the plunge and bought our current house, we ended up with 2 mismatched sofas, one of which was on it's last legs. So when we saw the January offers on at DFS of 4 years interest free credit we thought 'well what have we got to lose?'

As we already had a cream leather 3 seater which we were keeping, we decided to go for 2 electric leather recliners (one each!) to replace the other sofa.

We visited the Cannock DFS store and wanderered around for a while, as the shop was quite busy we were not pestered by a sales person as soon as we walked in the door which is what usually happens, and were left to shop in peace.

After trying out their selection of recliners we settled on the Navona Rise & Tilt Electric Recliners. Then the only problem was getting someone to complete the paperwork, it was nice not to be bothered earlier on in our trip but now we actually did need some help it took a while for them to find someone who was not already occupied.

Nevertheless we got the deed done, then discovered we were going to be kept waiting even longer - up to 10 weeks for delivery!! So I went home and tried to forget about it until the delivery date!

The day finally arrived and delivery went smoothly, we were phoned first thing to be advised of a rough delivery slot and once they arrived the chairs were brought in, the packaging taken away and we were given the delivery receipt and some aftercare instructions.

I was very impressed with the match of the colour on our existing sofa, you can hardly tell that they aren't part of a set and that one wasn't even from DFS! We went for the Vanilla colour option but there are 13 in all to choose from.

There is nothing better than sitting nice and cosy with your feet up with a nice cup of tea, and these chairs almost become beds with the amount they recline! They are so comfortable that I could quite happily sleep there!

We've had them for 6 months now and the only problems we are having is that the mechanism sometimes makes a bit of a creaking sound, we're not sure if that's a fatal error but as there is a 5 year guarantee on the springs and mechanism we aren't too worried about that yet.

These have been a very comfortable investment and by taking advantage of the 4 years interest free credit we can pay for them a little at a time. There is also the option of paying them off early if we wish with no penalty.
