“ Brand: Eliza Tinsley / Type: Chair „
Currently I am working at home and mostly tend to use my laptop. The chairs I have all are made from wood and I feel too hard to sit for long time. So I wanted to get a good quality comfortable chair. Looking at the Amazon website I was really glad to find Eliza Tinsley High Back PU Executive Armchair 1007PU/BK was on offer.

Price and availability:
Eliza Tinsley High Back PU Executive Armchair is mostly available on a few websites. You will find the prices almost same. As a guide on Amazon UK website the chair original price was £107.98 and now is on offer of £60.99.
I did a lot of searching before buying this product. I had tried a few chairs at an IKEA store and got some ideas about the chair I wanted. Then I searched on Amazon website and came across Eliza Tinsley armchair. It was 70% off and I paid £39.99. I was really glad with my choice.
The chair arrived in a couple of days and well packed without any damages. Following the simple instructions I used 30 minutes to put it together. When I finished the assembling my first impression was good. It looked very stylish and comfortable. However sitting is believing. Before too long I found some problems.
First it's not made in leather as it was described on Amazon website. Second the chair is not stable. When I sit on the chair and put me on the chair's back I feel I almost fall over. Third there is a problem with the adjustment. When I sit on the chair it has been suddenly adjusted to a lower level height. It happened a few times within one year use. Last but not least it's not comfortable at all. Compared to my wooden chairs it's a little more comfortable. However for the very little improvement of comfort I would not bother to buy a new armchair to be honest.
All in all from my experience I would not recommend Eliza Tinsley High Back PU Executive Armchair to anybody. It's a poor value for money, and in some point it's a dangerous chair.
The Eliza Tinsley high back computer chair was a recent purchase I made to match my new computer desk. I bought it from amazon, paid roughly £45.00 for it and selected it simply because it was black in colour and decided that it would match in with the colour scheme of my living room. I've had a few computer chairs since owning a desktop PC and have found them all to be pretty much the same in terms of comfort so didn't really give that much thought to what I was going to buy except knowing that I didn't really want to spend over £50.00. Delivery was prompt as it always is with amazon and the chair came flat packed in a large cardboard box.
I've owned enough computer chairs in the past to now be familiar with how they are put together and this chair proved to be no more difficult or any easier that any I have owned before. It comes in separate sections with an easy to follow instruction leaflet which made the job of assembling it quite straight forward, it can be put together by one person although it would be easier if two people tackled the job just because attaching the arm rests can be quite fiddly and an extra person would be able to hold the sections in place for additional stability. I managed it alone though so if I can complete the task then anyone else should be able to as I'm not the most co-ordinated of people at the best of times and from start to finish it probably took me around 30-40 minutes to fully construct the chair. Dimension wise the chair offers a seat which measures 48cm in width and 46.5cm in depth, the back is 47.5cm wide and measures 62.5cm in height and the chair can be adjusted to heights of 39-48cms.
The chair seat and back are made from padded PVC which presumably is to give it a faux leather look although personally I think it looks a little too 'plasticy' to ever be mistaken for leather, the star base and arm rests are made from nylon and the stand is metal which contains a compressed gas lift mechanism. My first impressions of the chair when I was putting it together weren't good as to me the chair has a cheap look to it which belies the picture on amazon and compared to chairs I have owned in the past it didn't quite live up to my expectations.
"Functional" would be a good description of the chair rather than anything luxurious and once the chair was put together and I tried it out my disappointment with it continued. Simply put, the chair just isn't very comfortable, the stitching on the seat and back can be felt through any fabric of clothing that I wear and the padding is just too thin to have much benefit. It's not a chair that you can sit in for hours on end without ending up with a 'numb bum' and all in all I feel let down my purchase as a whole. Functionality wise the chair is not bad, the tilt mechanism works well so you can lean back in it, its height can be adjusted to suit and the levers that are located under the seat are easy to work. The castors are good quality, similarly the star frame is nice and thick and had the manufacturers not skimped on the quality of the seat and back this could have been a very nice chair, sadly the end result fails to provide much comfort and it isn't a chair I would recommend if you spend hours in front of a PC on a day to day basis.
My chair is now a glorified clothes hanger in my bedroom and in its place in front of my desk is my old computer chair, it might not match the colour scheme of my room but it provides comfort and that's the whole point of owning a computer chair in the first place. Had the Eliza chair been £20.00 I would have said you get what you pay for and in my opinion this is terribly overpriced at £45.00, my old Argos chair cost me a little more than the Eliza did and provides far more comfort for the money so regrettably this is one purchase that I cannot recommend to others. There are hundreds of chairs available from various retailers and my advice would be to shop around and avoid this one as there are far better options for roughly the same price.
2 stars from me as a rating but not recommended. Thanks for reading my review.
