Im writing this to share my experience with regards to Belgam Kitchens and their fitting team. We booked an appointment with Belgam after being recommended by a friend who had a quote from them a few months back. After doing a bit of online research we found some very encouraging reviews and decided to go ahead with their quotation of £8,200. They were not the cheapest quote that we got but their designer we felt was the most knowledgeable and they came up with the best design. So 4 weeks after paying our deposit and a survey being carried out our kitchen was delivered. Our fitters were meant to turn up on the same day to start fitting the kitchen but it wasn't delivered until 4.30pm and we lost a day due to this. My initial thought was that this was the start of things to come having heard all the nightmare stories from people who have had bad experiences getting kitchens fitted. This was not the case our fitters turned up at may I say a too early 7.30am and got stuck in. Next problem was that the dishwasher that turned up was the wrong model. A quick phone call got this sorted out and another was delivered the following day by courier. One thing that I noticed was how much of a personal dervice dealing with Belgam was. After dealing with these frustrating call centres that you normally get subjected to it was nice to pick the phone up and someone know who you are at the other end of the phone. Anyway that is me getting sidetracked. To summarise our fitters were excellent. They came early and finished late to make up for the lost day to start with and managed to pull the fitting period back to 4 days. My husband actually gave them a £50 tip for a beer at the end of it all as he was so happy with the hard work that they had put in. We did have a few obstacles to overcome in having this kitchen fitted but I cant blame Belgam for these as a lot of them were unavoidable. The elctrics were in a bad way and needed some attention but the fitters picked up on this and instead of just bodging the kitchen in pointed it out and advised what needed doing to put this right. We appreciated their honesty even though it did end up costing us £200 extra.
I cant fault the finished product and their customer service was excellent. We now know that fitting a kitchen is a stressful time but Belgam managed to soften this with a lot of reassurance and didn't dissapoint.
