Belgam Kitchens - brilliant! (Fitted Kitchens in General)

Advantages: Friendly staff, great product, excellent service and competitively priced...

Disadvantages: none...

We had our kitchen completed by Belgam Kitchens back in June of this year. We have two young children, with a new baby on the way any week now, so we wanted a kitchen to make our standard of living more comfortable.

We had flirted with getting a kitchen last year, but the salesmen from Space Kitchens and Kitchens Direct were far too pushy and it was generally an unpleasant experience...

With baby number 3 on the way, we decided to do some necessary home improvements. Our old kitchen was not to our tastes and we did not have some of the essential appliances in there (freezer and tumble dryer). We had to make do with the tumble dryer in our little boy's room and did without a freezer, which is a very expensive way to live :-)

We got three quotes - one from DFK, one from DM Designs and the other from Belgam...

The salesmen from all three companies were nice and down-to-Earth (obviously, that's part of the job, but our experience with the SK and KD showed it wasn't always the case), but Bill from Belgam gave us the cheapest quote and did not use any underhanded ("offer good for one day only" etc.) sales tactics or pressure. He travelled all the way from Doncaster to Scotland, too, and was very pleasant...

It was a tough decision, in all honesty, because DFK kept price matching and the salesman was based more closely to us. We did go with DFK originally, but then the salesman reneged on his promise of accepting credit card. After we signed the papers, he said he was not working for DFK anymore but had set up his own kitchen business and wanted payment via Paypal!

He requested a Paypal payment by email three days after writing down all my credit card details on a contract... I was not impressed and did not feel comfortable with this development.

This made our decision easier, so we cancelled the arrangement, and opted for Belgam...as we should have done anyway.

We called Bill and he made all the necessary arrangements...

Within two weeks, we would be getting our brand new kitchen...

The fitters arrived on Tuesday morning and had our old kitchen ripped out within the hour...

They were very pleasant and had a very strong work ethic. No delays, no dilly-dallying...They just went about the work quickly and efficiently...

The new kitchen, by the way, is excellent and fitted to a very high standard...

We have great appliances, an integrated fridge-freezer and space for our tumble dryer...

It has made life a lot easier for us...

So, if our experience is anything to go by, DEFINITELY go with Belgam. The employees are friendly and professional, while the kitchens are a great standard and fitted superbly.

Summary: Kitchen was fitted quickly and expertly. A great buying experience all-round. HIGHLY recommended...
