Thank God there were two of us here when we tried to assemble this piece of furniture! I don't know who invented flat pack furniture, but he wants shooting.

Anyway, as we needed a workstation at our new house rather than the massive old desk and funds were getting tight, we opted for a computer workstation from Argos. In pale wood effect and at only £29.99 it was just what we were looking for.

It weighed a tonne and after we struggled with it out of the car we started to put it up. All you get, like other flat pack furniture, is some pieces of wood, a small plastic bag of screws / bits and a leaflet. This wouldn't have been so bad, only why are there never any *written* instructions for assembling this type of furniture. All you get are exploded diagrams which are *so* confusing and don't fully tell you *which* bits to put together first.

It took well over an hour to assenble but we got there in the end and it really is good. The piece looks great, is relatively sturdy with little side plinths for computer and printer at each side and a pull out keyboard shelf. Value for money? Excellent ..... if only you didn't have to go off your head trying to work out how to put it together yourself.
