Advantages: cheap, good quality

Disadvantages: instructions were photocopied

At our previous house my daughters bedroom had fitted wardrobes, so when we moved to our current abode, we were lacking in the wardrobe department. We wanted something that was going to last, look good and most importantly was reasonably priced. We went to Ikea in Wednesbury to have a look at what they had to offer. I was very impressed with the different range of bedroom furniture on offer, some very stylish designs and all with very modest price tags. We finally decided on the pine nursery range which included a wardrobe and chest of drawers/changing table. The wardrobe is around 6ft high and 2 ft wide and is split into two sides both having hanging rails, but also include three shelves. Very good for little ones clothes. The assembly was straight forward enough but the instuctions could have been clearer as it was a photocopied sheet. My advice would be to use No More Nails adhesive on all the dowels as this made it more sturdier. The chest of drawers/changing table consists of 2 small drawers and 3 full width drawers and a flip top lid which is big enough for a changing mat. There is a generous lip and all sides to stop baby falling off. Again this was self assembly and once more the instructions could have been clearer. My main reason for liking this furniture so much is that the back of the wardrobe and the drawer bottoms are made out of strong wood not that horrible weak cardboard stuff you get in other self assembly furniture. All in all good quality, cheap, good looking furniture which should last.

Good opinion.....answered the Who, What, Why, When, Where and How questions...which I always try (but sometimes fail) to apply to a product when buying. I would be encouraged to visit Ikea...if I were not already an Ikea addict...:-)
