Advantages: Easy to assemble, does the job well

Disadvantages: Mine broke and can't be repaired easily

I bought this laptop table when I was pregnant and needed a table that could pull my laptop over my bump so I could reach without affecting my posture and giving me backache.

Dave did the job beautifully, and all for £15.

The table was simple to assemble, is height adjustable and has a lever to enable you to tilt the table to a slight downward slant if desired. It also has two long feet at the front that slide easily under a chair or sofa so that the unit can be pulled closer to you.

However, 7 months on my husband has managed to break Dave by pulling the lever too far (no idea why he did this as we never use it on a tilt anyway). However, the result is that 3 of the 4 screws holding the table top to the base have fallen out and cannot be screwed back in - they simply fall out again.

I have the black Dave and it has started to look a little tatty - some of the black coating has worn away at the edges and it shows every bit of dusting which because of the texture needs a damp cloth to remove it effectively.

On the whole though I am happy with this product and will be buying a replacement as soon as my local Ikea has them back in stock - my only dilemma is should I get a white or blue one this time?!

Summary: A good value product
