I really needed a table to work from when I was using my laptop, and I didn't exactly have enough room for a desk, nor did I want to have such a fixed working point. When I saw this in Ikea for £15, I felt it was really worth splashing out, because not only did it look good in the various colours, but it was very easy to move around and didn't cost the earth.

Sometimes when you buy things from Ikea you worry about putting them together, but I was pleasantly surprised with this and I didn't even need to get help from a handyman friend! It was up and running within minutes and could be used right away. The top surface has a handle bit cut into it, which I suppose is actually to feed your wires through so that they don't get in the way, but I actually use this to move the table around as and when I need to. It's also quite a grippy surface which is excellent, because it means that mr. laptop doesn't go sliding around all over the place. You feel safe with your expensive computer on this, although it is a touch flimsy at times and could do with being stronger.

Being available in several colours, there is really room for this in most decors, making it an ideal choice if you haven't got loads of room, or if you just want an extra little table handy for laptop usage. It's certainly value for money, although I would say that it could do with being a bit stronger.
