Advantages: None so far

Disadvantages: An expensive service that seems entirely pointless.

We ordered our Ikea kitchen from the Bristol store in May and were told installation would be in about 6 weeks. We paid the obligatory £250 for a 'project manager' but frankly, we could have done a much better job ourselves. The first company that were supposed to do the fitting lost their contract with Ikea, but Ikea didn't tell us this, so we accepted delivrey of the kitchen only to find out our installation would not be carried the following week. It is now September and we are still waiting for the installation to be organised. We currently have a flat packed kitchen in our spare room and life is not good.

It had better be worth the wait! So far, I would not recommend their installation service at all.

Summary: Ikea kitchen installation service is poor. DIY is the way forward it seems.
