The bunk is recommended for children over 7 years. I bought this for my grown up daughter but found my grandchildren wanted to try it out. They were 5 6 and 8 years old. the ladder is awkward and quite 'thin' to stand on also the step is deep . The ladder mounts on the right or the left side of the bed. After watching them carefully I thought it was safer to ban them from using til they are older as it was too scary.

The IKEA MÖRRUM Loft bed This is solid construction high sleeper bed that is much cheaper than some makes and therefore good value for money in my opinion. The frame colour is black and white which is great for a Newcastle supporter but its easy to paint the bed a different colour such as Barbie pink for a girl! There is lots of space under the bed for storing things,or putting a desk, seating, play tent, toy storage or an entertainment area, complete with television, DVD player, and video game system.
