Candles can set the mood in any room. You don't have to worry about much else, just place your candles, preferably scented, in strategic positions and you will be be amazed at the difference it makes to a room. It needn't cost a fortune either.

Internationale do a huge range of coloured and scented candles and holders for them. A shallow glass bowl, half filled with water and a couple of floating candles looks fascinating in a room. The light comes from the candle flames but it also reflects in the water. (You don't have to buy a special bowl, just use one from the cupboard.) Prices in this store range from 25p for a single candle to £3/£4. If you haven't tried a bowl of floating candles in a room,do. I promise you won't be disappointed.
