Advantages: interesting patterns they make

Disadvantages: get very very hot

lava lamps i totaly love! i could sit for hours watching the bubbles and its nice and relaxing they come in bright fluorescent colours small and large, its surpising how they make interesting patterns from the 'lava' making it a lovely lil ornament for any living room. kiddies love watching the lava go up and down but becareful it does get very hot once been left on for lil while this is my 2nd one ive brought after the 1st one just packed up and have no idea why even replaced the bulb and fuse but i have owned my 2nd lava lamp now for 7weeks and its going great. Power is supplied by a main cable which i think is best as batteries would run out in a day or so
only bit of advice would be is again be careful as they get very hot all over after being on for to long.

Summary: would def buy another 1
