I am not going to bore you in history of lava lamps or how they work, i am going to tell you the pros and cons of having one. Ok maybe a bit of history, they have been around since the sixties and still haven't gone out of fashion. The main difference between the lamps of then and now is the price. Nowadays you will probably find a lava lamp from between 20 and 30 pounds. This is money well spent if you ask me, which no doubt you are if you are reading this. They can totally change a rooms atmosphere. No joke even if you have a horrible room in your house or flat a lava lamp will make it look warm, funky or space like depending on the colour. They are a fantastic bit of mood lighting. Ok the one problem about lava lamps are the bulbs. The first problem is trying to find one. They are pretty hard to find. Here is some advice if you are looking for a bulb. The most easy option is to go to a store which sells the lamps and ask at the checkout if they have any bulbs. Don't bother trying to get them from hardwear or lighting stores because take it from me they are prettty rare to find.
Right now that you have the bulb which will probably cost around 1-2 pounds be gentle with it. The filaments in them are very weak and will break easily if you thrash them around. Believe me it happens.
Well what more can i say get one they are funky and can lighten up a room at the touch of a switch.

Summary:
