Bought my bathroom suite from an MFI store about a month ago, not much to say as noone needed to sell it to me, knew what I wanted and am organising installation myself.
The price and quality of the items cannot be argued with and I am very happy about it and looking forward to installing the suite.
The only thing that I was disappointed with was the delivery, by that I don't mean the delivery time as that was also great, it came the day I had arranged and within the time slot, so I will explain........
I called the company that delivers for MFI the evening before and gave them a phone number to contact me at work, so they could contact me 10 minutes before they were due to arrive (only work 5 mins from home, lucky me). Someone contacted me at 8:30am in the morning to inform me the delivery would be between 11:30 & 12:30 (my time slot was 7am - 1pm), I asked if they would still be contacting me as they got close, to save me sitting around if they were delayed and they said yes.
At around 11:45am I received a call from a call centre saying could I get home as the delivery driver had arrived.
When I got home, the driver and his mate were sat in the lorry ready to leave and all the bathroom furniture was sat on my driveway.
He stated that he had been sat there for 35 minutes waiting and its a good job I turned up or he would have had to have left it there (but he is not that of person) and had to get off to make his next delivery, he said all goods were in order and asked me to sign so he could go.
The point of my review is that I received 2 letters from MFI informing me of the delivery procedure, i.e. the driver will unload and place the bathroom suite anywhere you ask it to be stored, he left it on the driveway and didn't even ask me, leaving me to carry it inside the house by myself.
It also states that the driver will then unpack all the items in front of you and check for any damage, if anything is damaged, it will be rep
laced immediately, of course this did not happen as I had to carry everything in myself.
Luckily from what I can see of my suite, everything is fine and there is no visible damage on anything, but I would recommend to any future buyers that they use their mouths and get the driver and his mate (thats what he is there for) to carry your items in.
