I am writing to tell you all about the shocking experience we have just been through with MFI. After looking around at all for sometime at various DIY stores (B&Q, IKEA, Wickes) we decided to buy a kitchen from MFI. After 2 visits to the shop we agreed on a design and a price of £7800.00. We came away looking forward to our new kitchen. This is was short lived! We had the fitter/surveyor come around who promptly started changiong the design as he said it didnt fit and then gave us a list of extra work and a bill for an additional £1200!!!! All that the "designer" in the shop could say was that this does happen sometimes. I promptly cancelled the order as no one seemed interested in trying to rectify the problem. My neighbour recommended a company called Belgam Kitchens (www.belgam.co.uk) They have been brilliant. They came and measured up before giving us a price and design. They were slightly cheaper but better quality cabinets by far. All I can say is give these people a try and dont be fooled by the "price" at MFI.

Summary: Waste of 2 weeks of my life
