Disadvantages: Delivery Time, Kept on Phone for hours before it is answered, only delivered a part of the Kitchen

At first it was brilliant, we went and had a kitchen plan done in the Truro branch of MFI. We came home with the plan and having seen it we thought it looked brilliant we didnt really want to change the kitchen but then we though why not, if we knew had much trouble there was to be, we would probably not have done it.

At first half of the kithen was not delivered 2 1000mm base units and about 5 doors, a large upright cupboard has a dent in and was chipped and a worktop was dented. We were not very happy for a start, then we found out that our carpenter could not fit any more of the kitchen that day as he could not start any wall as at least one or more parts were missing each time.

Then he could not come in the next day as we still didnt have the parts. We rang MFI adn told them when we got throught after about 2 hours we told them that the carpenters could not do anything and he had taken a week of work to do it. Then they agreed to poay for his labour one day, they sent down the new units and they were fitted then they found out in the next week over 10 more items were missing and eventually after a two week wait they were delivered.

Now this kitchen has now taken over 6 weeks to fit and finish. We have not been able to eat in or cook in the kitchen. We have had to wash dishes outside for this period which is very annoying plus the whole family have full time jobs having to take time of to wait in for delivery men that have never turned up.

My Overall opinion is that MFI are not very good, other than the problems i have mentioned here there have been many more! We have now got a kitchen and can use it and it is very good but when you pay a lot of money for a kitchen you expect it to be delivered. Our friends have has problems with mfi to, they delivered them the wrong style kitchen and how stupid does it get!

We ended up waiting 6 weeks for a kitchen which should have been no wait!!! We had ordered the kitchen 2 mont
hs beofre the set delivery date so they would have had plenty of time!

Summary:
