To think I was looking forward to having a nice new kitchen! The first mistake we made was to go to MFI. They SEEMED very helpful and booked a time for their 'top kitchen designer' to visit and measure up. We had picked out the 'Farmhouse' kitchen from the brochure, but were told that various items were not available anymore before we even got ...

Absolutely useless. They do not care at all once they have your money banked. They make a big thing about their after sales service and that they care about any problem you have and work to reseolve it. Not a bit of it. I currently have someone at head office who is "managing my complaint until it is resolved". What does this ...

today after almost two years of hell, I won a case agsints mfi for selling me goods not fit for the purpose,. they use a firm who now call themselves " the furniture Ombudsman" as a shield, they got me to fit the crap on the basis that once fitted they would inspect, once i fitted they refised to speak and passed me to this so ...

I recently purchased an MFI kitchen and have learnt the hard way what a rubbish company they are! From the outset, the staff at the Lewisham branch were generally unhelpful and disinterested, although it was clear that I was interested in buying a kitchen. When I made enquiries about the appliances, I later discovered that I had been given the ...

TODAY 27th March 08 I have been told by this usless company after they told me yesterday that i would get my delivery, that i have to wait another 3 weeks for the rest of my units. Never again.... you get what you pay for. Now my flat looks like a stock room. If they mess up again its court action. They have no interest in the customers and will end up like Rover Car manufacturing....Dont waist you time. try and pay a bit extra and go to a proper funiture company

I have been having huge problems with MFI as it seems evryone les has on here and if I had read the reviews on here before making my purchase I would not have gone ahead with it. Our problems with our delivery are still unresolved and it looks like it won't be until the middle of May. For peoples information, in your terms and ...

So I am not alone in experiencing deplorable service from MFI?. Having ordered and payed for a £3500 kitchen in November and actually asking them to deliver it 2 weeks AFTER their proposed delivery date I got a phone call the day before to say they had experienced 'Manufacturing difficulties' and only sent 1/2 of the items ordered. In this ...

Having saved for a long time, not easy with four children, and deciding our children were now of an age to appreciate new items of furniture were not toys and should be treated with care,we decide to buy a new bed and a new kitchen. We spoke to all the usual suspects in the British retail market for these items and eventually did a deal with MFI. ...

I to ordered a Kitchen in May, paid for it in cash £6K in June. Work started in Sep 07 and today is still incomplete. Be warned dealing with Many False Installations can be bad for your health. If only I was made aware that it was possible to return the incomplete kitchen on delivery my wife and I could have been spared all the heartache and grief we are still enduring.

My name is Grace and I live in the US - wow, to read all of the poor reviews of MFI really breaks my heart. I was employed by Howdens Millwork which was a sibling company of MFI and these reviews, these horror stories of poor at best customer service just sadden me. Howdens was actually dissolved and pulled from the US but let me assure you, we ...

In May this year (2007) my wife and I visited the MFI store in Leamington Spa to look for a new kitchen. We'd been to a number of other stores and had yet to see a kitchen that we both liked. After a good browse around the store we finally agreed that we both liked a kitchen called the 'Callisto'. We'd already taken the measurements for our ...

Dont buy a mfi kitchen. I paid £3000.00 2 yrs ago in addition they wanted £1600 to fit it. A short time later they offered the same fitted for the price they wanted for fitting, i.e £1600 (complete and fitted)which is really rubbing salt in the wound. There were a variety of small corner pieces for fitting between cupboards or floor ...

I hate MFI with all my being. Stress of gettin deliveries from them is unbelievable. 2 months and still not got my replacement dishwasher! They have never shown up to delivery, even though they should have done 6 times. I call them and go into a queue with everyone else and they won't make it a priority - they treat all the same, yeh v v v badly. ...

I have recently purchased my first flat, and it has proved so difficult to buy a property that I settled for somewhere that needed renovating. The previous owner needed a good seeing to from Kim and Aggie in my opinion. Armed with my marigolds and industrial strength antibacterial spray, I attempted to rid the kitchen of the layers of filth and ...

I have ordered an MFI kitchen and already I regret it and it is not even delivered yet. It cost £3300 including a fitting cost of £1300, but when the fitter came round he wanted to charge an extra £2335 for plumbing, electrics, fitting the vinyl, tiling, gas works. So including the price for fitting the units, the total cost of fitting is more ...

Thieves - utter theft. Spent over £2,400 on a Space White kitchen which was delivered and the customer charter and invoice shoved under my nose with the beautiful words "sign and date her, love". Even had the delivery driver's colleague take a box out of my flat and go back to the lorry telling me that it was for a different ...

I bought a kitchen from MFI, the Nebraska range (simple white kitchen), with fitting included. The staff at the shop were very polite and helpful. I decided to buy from them because I liked the look of the product and it was cheaper than other companies. I was quite nervous about my decision because I had heard bad things about MFI. Also I did ...

Whatever you do, don't put yourself through the misery of purchasing an MFI kitchen. The after sales service is non-existent and the customer complaints department useless. I haven't even had my kitchen fitted yet and I am dreading the next stage. What more can go wrong I ask myself? I'm seriously considering cancelling the whole order and losing my deposit. Just don't even consider buying from MFI
