MFI Kitchen Furniture Reviews

have had enough of people slagging of staff of MFI, sure enough you get good and bad everywhere, my wife for example, ex mfi assitant manager,contracted to work 40 hours per week, actually worked 50+ (other hours without pay,) main reason, to try to sort out the mistakes that the distribution centre kept on making, i.e missing items, missed deliveries, you know the main problems everone here has quite rightly complained about, what upsets me is people always blame the staff that they can see, most of the problems were from deliveries, either missing or broken items, the store staff to a certain extent had their hands tied as to what they could do at that stage. just remember not all mfi staff were bad staff, people like my missus did care and i know by christ from my own experience she tried hard for the customers. ENOUGH SAID!

Have bought an MFI kitchen on eBay. Looks in great condition but am concerned about some of the reviews I have read. Mostly the reviews are about after sales service, items missing from order etc. I wonder if anyone could tell me what they think about the actual units once in situ. Mine is an oak style shaker.

Bought an MFI kitchen in 2005. Cost £7,500. Appalling workmanship - veneers began parting company with the woodchip doors after 13 months, but because we had not taken out an insurance policy to cover the doors, MFI was not interested.
My advice - go somewhere else!

Words cannot express the anger mfi have made me feel they are totally incompetent, its no wonder they are in administration oops they dont tell you that when you order something, they are quick enough to take your money but dont want to know when the order does'nt arrive and as for customer service centre staff i just hope that when they find themselfs out of work very soon that no respectful employer will entertain them when they find out they worked for mfi and were crap at their job. thanks for nothing mfi have given up waiting for order your not worth the worry

We chose a kitchen from MFI in Edinburgh. The person was supposed to arrive to take measurements-phoned an hour after the app. time saying that she could not manage. Another person arrived eventually. Took rough measurements. An appointment was made for a builder to arrive and look at a wall to be knocked down. He phoned and cancelled on the day and made an appointment for the following Monday at midday. Never bothered arriving or even phoning to explain. I have never heard from MFI since. The whole experience was C--- and they hadn't even started work yet! They wasted two valuable weeks of my time. I reckon I had a lucky escape. No wonder MFI are struggling

MFI and Mark Two - Absolutley useless, broken delivery dates, broken items on delivery, not getting replacement parts to you when promised. Defects in products - twice! After care and customer service is terrible until you get through to someone with some authority. The original branch not interested once they have taken your money. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. spend your hard earned cash elsewhere. My problems and defective goods are still being sorted out. Compensation claim to follow - hope that's more successful than the original purchase.

MFI = HELL. We have been battling with MFI after the bathroom furniture they sold us started disintegrating within the first 6 months. They passed us from pillar to post for over a year. Finally they sent out replacements with a fitter, only the fitter didn't have enough time to do the job (and it looked like it would cost a bit more). So guess what? MFI decided it was our fault instead. You see, their bathroom furniture is unfortunately susceptible to "WATER DAMAGE" and we didn't maintain it well enough!

Here's the best bit. Head office after we threaten to take it to the furniture ombudsman do a U-turn and say "well we delivered the replacements we should really fit it". So they sent round another fitter, who did them another quote to them, and guess what? They changed their minds again and said no again! Pure evil.
