You have taken on 'Trouble' but try to see the potential at the end, if you are lucky to have the sort of expert I got after my nightmare waiting, making calls, writing letters. Thank God writing's never been a problem for me or expressing myself. Very therapeutic.
My kitchen will finish today, fingers crossed, though it'll be next week b4 the tiler comes in.
I tried to get cleaners on Thompson directly. Cheapest, £20 an hr. (Builders cleaning) which is what I need. Proper cleaning of just my 'write off' carpet, what with those Caterpillar Boots pounding & a carpet cover of saw dust blanketting every surface, one cleaner quoted £240= ;-/
You need bedsheets to cover whatever u can cover, I warn you now!!!! The technician I got has his work ethics well fine tuned, so I give him that & quite a relief he had that ethics in place, what with watching the BBC documentary last week. Anyone watched it??
The worst is now over and I wish any one out there every luck when you give your kitchen to Moben to do. Be ready to chase things up. Be ready to be creative with a positive outlook when you see your sanctified space trampled. They are builders not Tv repair men. Haven said that they can seriously look into causing less mess. I made the mistake of cleaning & hoovering every evening, so it does not get carried into other rooms which I'm sure they hardly noticed & each day was just even worse. I cannot raise a duster or bend as I write this, so claeners are your ONLY solution. Who's going to pay? Well! ;-(
The technician/joiner on this ocassion has saved MOBEN's skin.

- 17/03/06 Hi Jane Dora. Your review rambled a bit in all directions. What a site like this does is give "Joe Bloggs", i.e. you and me, a chance to tell people how we found products to be as opposed to how they are advertised. You get a unique opportunity to tell the public how it is in reality and that's why it is so valuable. If you edit your review, telling of the experience from beginning to end, not only will you get better ratings, but you also stand a chance of earning more by getting what are called "crowns" or awards on a weekly basis for reviews submitted in that week. Mediocre reviews get very little in comparison. If you edit, please leave a message in the comments on my last review (we have no guestbooks here) and I shall gladly rerate based on what information you provide at that time. Rachel X |

- 16/03/06 Just a quick suggestion which you can all apply who ever has builders in their home. You'd do well to get into Homebase or B&Q and buy a spray bottle or use an old spray bottle at home to fill with water and fine spray every now and again or in the evenings when the builders are gone to settle dust and give you less dust inhalation. Especially helpful if you have asthma sufferes in the house.
Unless of course you are lucky to find that technology has updated tools that saw wood to look like garden mowers which save grass cuttings in this case save the dust in a bag like a Domestic hoovering machines at home.
So machines and tools makers take note. If anyone knows of any such machines already in use, give us a clue or direct us.
