Advantages: They come to your house
Disadvantages: Poor quality, poor service, over priced, dangerous electrical work - don't deal with complaints
Moben - expensive, poorly made, poorly fitted and possible the worst customer service I have ever encountered.
The saleswoman was very accomodating, the samples were solid wood. I paid £7000 (discounts from £10k) for a compressed cardboard kitchen with cheap plactic wood covering that bubbles if water goes near it. None of the wiring was earthed, mastic was used everywhere and considering the kitchen is only 9 foot by 7 foot, £7K was an awful lot for this quality. A £1500 MFI kitchen lastest better and looked newer after 8 years than this pear wood one does after 3.
When one for the doors started to peel after 2 weeks, we contacted Moben, by phone and in writting. They wouldn't replace the door as nobody could come down to check it. eventually they offered £75. We rejected and they offered £100 and sent a cheque. We agreed to accept this is they also sent a new door which I would fit. We never heard another word from them and they wouldne speak on the phone (they were very rude)
The fitters were contractors and said the 'kitchens direct' quality was better and I could have got the same kitchen for about £3.5K.
All in all - would i recommend Moben? I don't think I could dislike anyone enough to recommend this company, so no.
Summary: After renovating several properties, Moben has been my biggest mistake. Absolutely awful.

- 14/09/06 I am amazed at this, I always thought Moben kitchens were top of the range. Perhaps in price, but nothing else eh! |
