Advantages: They'll probably be in business long enough for you to sue them!

Disadvantages: They treat customers with contempt once they have your money.

Moben promised me a high quality kitchen installation and finished product but they failed on both counts. Despite my having to chase them up on numerous occasions by phone, letter and email, they took 19 weeks to 'complete' my kitchen. I use the word 'complete' loosely as there are still faults they have not put right. The main problems have been with extremely poor quality plastering and tiling, both of which had to be redone. Even after two attempts the finish is poor. Even after the 19 weeks, an electrical problem cropped up although at least that has been sorted.
I asked Moben for compensation and provided them with masses of information as they didn't seem to understand the problems they had been causing. Eventually they offered a £250 'ex gratia' payment but that offer was withdrawn after 21 days. I therefore felt my only option was to claim via the County Court. On 1st March I started the claim process and Moben have responded that they intend to defend all the claim (ie they say I should have no compensation).
To alert others to Moben's abysmal standards of customer service, I have set up a website www.kitchenhell.co.uk which provides more information.
The message must be - Unless you feel lucky, or unless you like grief, don't even think of buying a Moben Kitchen.
