Well here I am at the beginning of my Moben voyage (not that I was expecting it to be a World Cruise but rather a short jaunt across the Bristol Channel.

Up until the point of delivery things were going well, the designer had put together a lovely looking kitchen and after living with chipboard hell for 15 years anticipation was high.

I had all of the electrics, plumbing, heating and plastering done before the kitchen arrived as I wanted them to just come in connect it up and leave. I had therefore lived with no sink and all of my kitchen equipment inhabiting my dining room table for a month before Moben were supposed to start and was pretty battle hardened. I was even happy with them storing the range cooker in the garage as it was too heavy for two people to lift into the house.

My first concern was when I looked through the list of delivered items and noticed that there were no handles on the list. A rather up himself customer services guy told me that they would be in one of the boxes under another name and if they were not there that they would be sent out overnight so that it would not hold up the install. Didn't put my mind at ease, as I'm not a complete idiot and didn't really believe him.

Then the fit was pushed back a week, and during a nice stay away in Lynmouth I got a message from the fitter saying that they couldn't start as anticipated on the Monday morning as there were snags on a previous job. They eventually arrived Monday afternoon, brought all their tools into my already overflowing house and left again. To give them due credit the work they have completed to date has been superb, but as expected the handles were not there, one of the work surfaces was too narrow and the Le Mans that they supplied was too large for the cupboard. Not a problem the fitters said Moben would as promised overnight everything.
The next day, they left site as the Moben delivery team were 'stock taking' the previous day so nothing had been sent out.
The work top and handles were abandoned in my back garden the day after with the Le Mans being properly delivered on Friday.
Ok, I thought to myself at least that means that they could start on Monday (today), as the tiler was attending the house on Tuesday. No such luck, after eventually getting hold of the fitter he cannot make it back till Wednesday (because he doesn't want to leave another job incomplete!!). I held my temper on the phone to Moben advising them to make sure that they did programme me in for Wednesday and to cancel the tiler who insisted that he could start even though one complete work surface isn't in place.

I have had a stomach full of this company, and for the price that I have paid have had nightmare couple of weeks. I have asked for their complaints address but haven't received a response. Would I go to Moben again???????? Never, never, never. If you are reviewing this site with a view to purchasing a new kitchen you will get better service elsewhere.

Fingers crossed for Wednesday......
