Advantages: None that spring to mind!

Disadvantages: They take all your money prior to fitting, so when it goes wrong they don't need to respond!

Fed Up, from Northwood. We recently purchased a Moben kitchen, at a total cost of £23k. Up until the installation, things progressed reasonably well, then it all went pear shaped (coincidentally at that point, they have taken all your money!) Tip: never use a company that want all the money up front - there's always a reason for this. Reading the other reviews, I now understand why they do that.

Here are the headlines on a long, frustrating story:
- the designer didn't allow enough space between the island unit and fridge/freezer, so the island unit can only seat 3 people instead of 4 (we're a family of 4 and can't eat together!)
- the sink unit was delivered broken, 1st and 2nd time around. It's now October and I still don't have a fully fitted sink. We signed with Moben in February!!
- the doors of the units are coming loose
- the customer service sucks. They don't respond, the lady I can speak to, Sue, is not able to help. The person that can help (Robert Day?), does not take calls from customers! It's a hopeless situation and there's no bargaining power, as they've collected all the money in advance of the fitting!
- I'm now progressing this with the Furniture Ombudsman, who regulate Moben, and hopefully, they'll be able to bring this sorry story to a satisfactory ending. Well, here's hoping....

Summary: Spend your money elsewhere - or you may end up writing one of these yourself!

£23K !! That's a startling sum to have paid up front. Very sorry to hear your tale, a reputable company will not want your money until the customer is happy.
