I then called a newspaper and spoke about pineonline to a journalist...and was told that some of pineonline were jailed..best thing possible..pineonline are furniture247 and..several other names..please.. ONLY order online from a company you have heard of..a REPUTABLE company..surely this makes sense?I was one of furniture247's victims.
DO NOT buy goods off this company .I have been sold a mattress which now has sharp pieces of steel comping through it and which are rusted .They say there was a 2 year warranty with the mattress I purchased ,but this is utter lies ,once you purchase their goods they then tell you different ,after sales is an uncaring and are very rude to their customers with a stinking attitude ..I contacted their sales department who are very helpful and they even emailed me to say there is a 2 year warranty on the same mattress I purchased which is a contradiction to their after sales team .So it seems they will do anything to get your purchase then after that they are disgusting .I am a disabled person who needed this type of waterproof mattress for my condition .I have now had to contact trading standards to deal with this ,this causing me more stress and upset I could do without .The mattress should not be old to people as it is a potential danger and could cause serious harm with these sharp nails coming through .This company should not be allowed to trade .This company trade under different names
The parent company of Furniture 247 is Multi-ecommerce. Do not buy from them they are absolute hell - trust me you dont need the stress. They dont reply to emails, letters, phone calls. Once theyve got your money they wont give you a refund, been trying for 7 months to get mine - BE WARNED.
Unfortunately the star rating has no negative scale and I'm forced by the system to give them at least one star...
Very interesting to read that other customers have had exactly the same experience!!!
Ordered a coffee table - standard you would think, quickly delivered. The money was out of my account immediately, but I heard nothing from 247 until I send 2 emails asking for my furniture. I was given a date that came and went with no delivery. Emailed again and got the pack 3 weeks after order. As it was a different item that cost half the price I had paid and I was forced to buy something else instead in the meantime I complained by email to cancel my order and got no reply. Called twice and was given the promise that they would call back - nothing. I emailed again to complain that they didn't even have the courtesy to apologise and acknowledge the cancelling of my order.
Finally I got an email telling me that they will replace the item. When I stated that this was not my wish and I wanted my money back and the wrong item collected, they told me that I had to organise the delivery back to the depot myself and then perhaps get the refund. After another email exchange in which I made it clear that I didn't think that I had to pay for their mistake they made it clear that they were unwilling to change their mind about this. Fair enough - a standard parcel by Royal Mail costs ca £13 + 2.50 for insurance and I was willing to pay this to have the dispute settled. When I asked for the address of the depot the reply was: you can send the parcel back - it has to be in the original condition and package, there has to be "no damage to the packaging and NO TAPE WHATSOEVER". If this condition is not met upon arrival the parcel will be refused and no refund given. If however I manage to get the parcel there they will refund minus 4% handling charges. Very obvious that they are unwilling to accept a cancelling of my order as it is impossible to send the parcel without closing it with tape. It arrived with tape on it and obviously I opened it to before I knew it was the wrong item.
I think that 247 is a criminal gang, not a furniture store as they call themselves. They trick their unknowing customers out of their money and should be avoided under all circumstances. I will inform Trading Standards - I'm glad that I found this site!
DO NOT ORDER ANY GOODS from Pine on line, (furniture 24/7) would be my advice. An 'outfit' more than a company, i ordered a mattress which was not as described and , when i tried to return it, found the staff to be elusive to reach, unhelpful, and obstructive.. When i eventually argued my case to have it collected, i was charged £50 for the 'priveledge'.. It was several weeks before they collected it, and a further two months to refund my money (less the 'collection charge')..I have contacted Trading Standards, but they have directed me to Pine on line's 'terms and conditions' (the smallprint) which more or less indicates their customer unfriendly ethos.I will be directing Trading Standards to this website now i have found it. Reading other people's comments, it is clear this company has some kind of 'rudeness policy'.. Company rating: Unpleasant. . Avoid...
Pine on line are dealing with our attempt to return a Norfolk table set ordered through Furniture 24/7. They refused to allow return of the goods described as Natural Oak - but actually Rubberwood. Told to return to depot at own expense and an admin and re-stocking fee of 29% of the value ( over £70 ) would be deducted from refund. According to them the goods were ' specially ordered ' despite being shown on website as ' most popular set'. They then tried to imply that the goods were delivered direct from depot, thus making them special. They are in breach of the distance selling regulations. The Customer service team simply hang up on you. Despite six direct requests to provide the depot address they refuse. Credit Card company are now in the process of refunding the full amount as we have rejected goods under Sale of Goods act, The Card company are responsible for a full refund under the Consumer Credit Act. Trading Standards are involved and need further examples of their behaviour. Avoid at all costs.
I have had a recent experience of Pineonline (early 2008). Their customer service is awful. My advice is:- don't rely on the information on their website- don't rely on what they tell you on the phone- expect to have lots of your time wasted- don't expect any consideration if they make a mistake.Their parent company is Multi Ecommerce and an associated company is called Furniture Mad.Go Elsewhere !!!!!!!!!
DO NOT BUY FROM PINEONLINE!!I have just received a bed - which is NOT THE BED I ORDERED. on top of that, it is badly packaged and therefore now badly damanged.Pineonline insist it is the correct bed, despite the fact that it looks nothing like the bed on their website.Refused to give me a refund and collect the broken bed. Said we can take it back to manchester ourselves if we want to return it (we live in Kent). When i complained - they asked if I was out to cause trouble!DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS SHODDY "COMPANY"!Im taking the matter to Trading Standards and have now instructed a solicitor.DISCRACEFUL CUSTOMER "SERVICE"!!!!!!
Very very poor. We had to cancel an order because the driver failed to show up, and the best they could do was come back in a week's time. Meanwhile we are left with no furniture and having to look elsewhere. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
I ordered two bedside cabinets, two four drawer chests and two five drawer chests from the Pine Online Shaker Range on 10th October - delivery was supposed to be 10 days. After nearly four weeks silence (but with the balance removed from my credit card) I phoned up and was promised four out of the six pieces the following week. Come delivery day, I get three packages. I would say pieces, but that more accurately reflects the contents of the boxes - damaged and smashed flat-pack furniture. Solid wood panels were smashed into pieces, drawer fronts were severely damaged, or had marks over them etc. I catalogued the damaged contents and sent to every PineOnline email address I could find - and got no reply. Phoning the order line got a response "Phone the Customer Service line" which I then did - to be greeted by the first words of "Wait!" - Pine Online and Customer Service? - Huge oxymoron! Finally getting through to them, I am dealt with by a highly skilled (I don't think!) person in the warehouse - lets call him "Goliath". He commits to getting the fourth package and all the replacement pieces to me by the end of the following week. Needless to say, that doesn't happen. Throughout the time I dealt with PineOnline, I had been confirming every telephone conversation with an email and finally stated that if no replacement parts were received by the end of their own delivery date, the order was cancelled. Surprisingly, no email reply from PineOnline. Having not received even a telephone call on the day stated by Pine Online the order was cancelled. I got a refund for the full amount and was told that the boxes would be collected - I would receive a telephone call from Goliath telling me when.... After two weeks, I phoned the Order Line to chase things - and had the woman hang up on me. I informed Goliath that after 17:00 on Monday 24th the boxes were going in the bin - and would you believe, things
happened. I got a call asking me to use a roll of duct tape to secure the boxes to 110% so they could be collected - finally yesterday they were..... Summary - you get what you pay for. Pine Online equates to shoddy service, poorly wrapped and delivered furniture with poorly motivated, untrained, rude unhelpful staff - and those are the positive points!!!!!
I saw this on dooyoo with no opinions near it so i decided to have a look at the site and provide first opinion on what the site has to offer. The firms slogan is "furniture grown on trees for people whos money doesn`t!" This left me with the impression of value furniture and I was of the feeling that this was for young families on a tight budget. It contains a nice selection of Pine furniture, the usual bedroom furniture and dining furniture. The beds offer a little variety with one 4 poster bed on offer. A few typical pine beds you might see the length and breadth of Britain at reasonable/typical prices. The bedroom furniture has 2 styles available, these are Balmoral and Kensington. Having recently been to Kensington Id argue as to whether youd see much of this furniture in Kensington at all. The furniture comes in flatpack and delivery to anywhere in UK mainland is free. I found the bedroom furniture was lacking any inspiration and was probably designed to furnish a box room. After looking at the dining furniture I thought that the range was going to be pretty limited and Id say this is the case with some of the basic designs but I did like the Salvador Dining set with the Mexican influence. The Dining sets seem to be offering value and I would say that there is a variety of different styles in this section. There wasnt any lounge furniture on offer but Id probably look elswhere anyhow. I spent a good amount of time reviewing this site and I have to say most of whats on offer doesnt really inspire me. It seems to me that they are chopping trees down just to churn out more plain pine furniture. Its becoming too commonplace and Im not keen on having the same furniture allover. Id be happier recycling an older piece, its much more rewarding and you end up with a piece that has a little history.
The parent company of Pine Online is Multi Commerce International Ltd, which was founded in November 1970.
