Battle over refund. (pineonline.co.uk)
Member Name: Richard J. Watson
Advantages: Using Credit Card to pay gave some protection Disadvantages: Cleverly and consistently avoid refunds Pine on line are dealing with our attempt to return a Norfolk table set ordered through Furniture 24/7. They refused to allow return of the goods described as Natural Oak - but actually Rubberwood. Told to return to depot at own expense and an admin and re-stocking fee of 29% of the value ( over £70 ) would be deducted from refund. According to them the goods were ' specially ordered ' despite being shown on website as ' most popular set'. They then tried to imply that the goods were delivered direct from depot, thus making them special. They are in breach of the distance selling regulations. The Customer service team simply hang up on you. Despite six direct requests to provide the depot address they refuse. Credit Card company are now in the process of refunding the full amount as we have rejected goods under Sale of Goods act, The Card company are responsible for a full refund under the Consumer Credit Act. Trading Standards are involved and need further examples of their behaviour. Avoid at all costs. Summary: Be ready to argue every single point to get a refund |
