Advantages: A highly adaptable dinner table that simply oozes space age style

Disadvantages: Lightweight for windy days outdoors

I really love my pink TV dinner table. It's not only such a handy piece of household furniture, it can also be taken on day trips and holidays on account of its portability. This super plastic tray is so chic and user friendly. It has three groovy indentations for securing your food, drink and plates. There's a round one to slot in a glass of ginger beer or a cup of hot chocolate, an oblong one for you cutlery or chop sticks and the large rectangular one for your dinner plate or sandwiches. The point is, this is not only a highly adaptable piece of kit, but also a style icon fit for space age homes.

Whether you're munching on cornflakes, slurping tomato soup or chewing on a sausage, this pretty pink table makes every meal such a joy. It's cheerful bright colour makes the food seem more delicious. If I have my breakfast on it I am assured that I will be filled with a positive attitude for the rest of the day. As I head out into the world each day I am confident that I can face all that life throws at me because I know I've got my little pink one, or as I like to say, my 'special pink one' waiting for me at home.

As it says on the packet, this little table is ideal for watching your favourite TV programmes whilst eating. You can comfortably enjoy your M&S takeaway meals whilst watching such cultural delights as Location, Location, Location, Golden balls or Rosemary and Thyme. But it's really more than just a TV dinner table. It's also great for picnics. It's so easy to pack into the boot of even the most smallest of hatchbacks. It really makes you stand out from the crowd (as I like to do on occasion). Although there are times when other picnic goers look over with envy as they feast their eyes on my special pink one, for the most part, all I experience is love and affection all around whenever I get my pink one out. One time I even took it along on a fishing trip, although I would advise you to avoid windy days as the table is light weight and is liable to blow about in a gust of wind. If you're a sloppy eater, the table is a breeze to clean. Just a wipe over with a damp cloth and once again all will be shiny and sparkling .

The dinner table is so easy to store. It folds away easily. The legs fold away so that they are tucked away underneath the table. You can then put it in a cupboard where it takes up little room. I prefer to simply lean it against a wall so as to remind me how lucky I am and that it's always there for emergencies such as last week when the Avon lady called round. Sometimes when I might be feeling a little under the weather and all my St Johns Wort has run out, all I have to do is look over to where my little pink table leans against the wall and it's not long before a smile is on my face and I almost want to flip off my high heels and skip for joy. My little special pink one helps me to forget, for a while at least, all the woe and misery that surrounds us in the world today. Oh little pink one! What would I do without you?

I actually paid £20 for my table some years ago but you can now get them online at www.dotcomgiftshop.com for the bargain price of £12.95. It also comes in bright blue and authentic 1970s orange. They're so cheap you could buy one for each member of your family so you can all dine together.

Summary: Stylish TV dinner table

This is among those types of items that I might be tempted to buy but would then go in the spare room and clog it up. And I've only just cleared it out, so I've no ambition to clog it up some more. Great review.
