Ordered cover for Xmas 2012 assured they would be there , no sign of movement 2 weeks before xmas phoned told they were not made spoke to manager who assurred me they were made and being checked. then told they had been sent to their rep in area who would fit . I had a letter through the post offering me 50% off ALL covers in the new year covers collection. Perhaps I should not have been surprised that the consultant told me it did not apply to me...... Even if I chose a fabric from the over 600 coverways and designs. Very disappointed

I needed a sofa bed covering I found this woman to be rude and unprofessional. Firstly before even opening the sample book she started slagging off other customers, then she went on to tell me she hasn't got all day and she couldn't believe I had no clue what design I wanted before seeing her sample book! I knew what colour I wanted but until you see what is on offer how the hell could you know!? I felt totally ambushed and attacked in my own home. I should have thrown her out head first!

I wonder if anyone has had the same problem as me. I have been pleased with my loose covers but when I washed the main cover to my sofa the whole of the white backing came off. What a mess - plus I am concerned about my washing machine! Has anyone else had this happen and does anyone know what this white coating is? Many thanks.

Just had my bed settee of 20years reupholstered cos wished to keep hold of it and it fit my space. Also had curtains made and footstool recovered. After ordering, read so many bad reviews. Worried!! Took a couple of months to come and collect which was a down side but was returned by christmas as promised. Love it. Excellent job. Expensive but expensive to buy a bed settee and i,ve got what i want! All good up to now. Fingers crossed it will last another 20 year!

We have now had the use of our recovered suite since August. The suite was recovered by Plumbs which took them over three months to sort it out. They even told lies regarding the delivery. My mum ordered some covers for her sofa which were made and received with no problems. Everything else afterwards has been a downward spiral of abysmal aftercare customer service. First the zip broke on one of the covers and it literally took 2 months to get someone to come and take it to be repaired and bring it back. Then they promised my mum some anti slip foams to put under the covers as they kept slipping down and she is still waiting for them (3 months later) I have been promised by advisors that they will deal with the matter and we are still waiting. Terrible service, I would steer well clear.

Plumbs are still trying it on . Despite returning to them there awful suit covers months ago they are pestering us saying that they have not received the covers. Not my problem. They should have sent someone to collect them. Now they are saying we also have their curtains too. Believe me, I wouldn't want anything from that second rate market factory.Just discussed this with my solicitor who has advised me to wait to see if they want to sue. Boy, I wish they would. I have so much evidence against them and so many people willing to give evidence. Mark my word ...........stay clear of this dreadful back street company who cant cut a piece of material in a straight line.!!!

I purchased Plumbs covers/seat replacement filling for a three piece suite in Autumn 2010 due to worn covers - kids etc. All very efficient for just under £1000. After 12 months we (two normal sized adults only) had to replace the seat filling as it had shrunk into a pancake. There was absolutely no give in them. The covers too, after 18 months, now look shoddy and resemble an overwashed jumper with lots of tags if you know what I mean. We assumed we were buying something of quality, that would endure, and it turned otherwise.

Plumbs were threatened with court action re substandard covers. We quoted a consumer act re poor quality after taking legal advice. Let me re-iterate that their customer service department particularly Marianne who purports to be the supervisor are extremely uncooperative. I was a little dubious following some of the reviews on here but decided to see for myself since my friend bought from Plumbs a few years ago and her covers look lovely. I'm so pleased that I did as the service I received from Plumbs was brilliant and I am delighted with my suite covers. The man who came to see me was extremely polite and very helpful, he even came back to fit the covers for me for free. They really do look excellent, and all of my family and friends agree. 10 out of 10 from me!
