“ Brand: Pound Stretcher / Portable chair / Type: Chair „
We've gone through a number of chairs in the search for one that suits both my son and my husband for gaming, and hopefully that I would be able to use if I sit upstairs to play a few games with my son as well.
It seems we have finally found one to fit the bill. This chair is 14" to the seat and 28" to the back. The width is 31". My husband is able to sit comfortably in this for hours on end, and I actually find it quite comfy myself. I especially like that it is big enough I can pull my feet up onto the chair, as I find this more comfortable then just sitting with my feet down. The seat is very soft and padded as well. My son however looks the most relaxed in this. He can sit cross legged and still have room for a quilt if he likes. It really is big and comfortable. Or both my five year old and two year old can squeeze in to watch a dvd. This also seems to be sturdy enough, especially as my son has a habit of converting furniture to climbing frames. I have often found this upside down so he can swing about on the frame.
There is one major drawback to this chair though. The cloth part is stitched down, so you can not remove it for washing. Between my husband and my boys, it's only a matter of time before this needs more than a surface wash. I suppose I could just cut the cloth straps that hold this in place and add buttons to re attach it, and I probably will at some point. I do think it would have made more sense to have made this removable in the first place though, so the chair loses one star there. On the plus side though, it is a dark colour so won't show dirt to easily, and can be washed off with a cloth easily enough. This is also available in a very light cream, but that would never work in my house.
Overall though, I am very happy with this chair. My son loves it, as does my husband, and it is comfortable. At £14.99 it was also a reasonable price.
