I notice a magazine file for £14.00 from http://www.lombok.co.uk Laura Ashley have one for £7.99. There are many rattan baskets available at http://www.nextag.com. that are suitable for filing. I have seen rattan baskets in either wood or iron frame for stacking files.

Rattan comes from palms there are several species which can be used they mostly come from Africa, Asia and Australasia. Thin strips / canes are stripped from the plant. Rattan is often used in furniture making. A few years ago I used rattan canes to recane some chairs that had belonged to my deceased great uncle. One of the rattan file boxes also came from this source. Another cane file is one I use as a magazine rack this I bought new cost about £6 a few years ago.
