I called in to Sharps at Crown Point retail park in Leeds last Sunday and found the assistant there to be helpful and courteous. I explained to her that I needed a wardrobe fitting above a bulkhead in my box room, and was also considering other fittings depending on what the "designer" could come up with. Anyway, she made the appointment for the salesman to call at 10am this morning.

What can I say but I wish I hadnt bothered. I found the man to be totally disinterested, to the point where he was actually quite rude. He measured the bulkhead in my bedroom and told me that it was about an inch too small to fit in a 2 door wardrobe, and could only do 1 door. I wasnt sure about this and so asked if there was any way around it, maybe by trimming the doors slightly. I basically got a blunt response of "They are standard sizes, If you dont want a 1 door wardrobe I wont bother" I was totally shocked and appalled at his attitude. He didnt try and come up with any ideas, and didnt even bother to show me any designs, wood samples or anything. I got the feeling that he was a bit put out that we were not going to be spending vast amounts of cash. However I do think he could have at least been polite. In the 3 minutes he was in my house he barked at me that the 1 wardrobe would be £695 if I paid now, what a cheek when he hadnt even shown me the product he was supposedly selling!!!
