Advantages: pure comfort all night

Disadvantages: slightly pricey but so worth it!

This has to be the best purchase I've ever made. I always suffered from a bad back and found sleeping awkward due to struggling to get comfortable. All that changed the minute I put this seemingly unimpressive piece of foam on top of my mattress. I woke up the next day having not woken up once during the night, hurray! The more I used it the easier my back pain became. Obviously as the day goes on the pain re-emerges however I now look forward to going to sleep instead of being anxious over whether I'd sleep or be tossing and turning all night. I realised just how much straighter my spine was in the mornings as I have to adjust my rear view mirror when I get in the car in the morning and at night by about 2 inches. Also when I stay away at a hotel or on holiday I realise just how much I miss my memory foam topper as I find it almost impossible to get comfy. So much so I don't really mind coming home just to get a good night sleep again. It helps to distribute your weight evenly so no more pressure on your heavier bits. It also helps to regulate your temperature and moulds into your individual shape. If your partner is a fidgeter then you don't notice them wriggling around either as they are in their own individual island of comfort. Could go on for hours about this but all I want to say is just try it.

Summary: A really good idea if you have problems getting comfy at night
