Advantages: Comfortable, Beany, Baggish
Disadvantages: Wears easily, Dates quickly, Not good for anyone over 35
First Impressions Going to the Ideal Homes Show, we first saw these great big bean bags and, after lounging on them for about 15 mins, we decided to get one of the King size ones. They were so comfortable and a lot of fun. 'Ideal' we thought. And, for the first year or so, they were a great talking point, all our guests (especially kids) wanted to sit in it and they were certainly different. Changing View However, we soon started to notice cracks appearing in the surface of the bean bag (a sort of fake-leather compound) and contacted the manufacturer, who sent us a patch - saying that this was an unusual occurence. But it wasn't long before more cracks appeared... and more. It is now only a matter of time before the inner lining splits, even though we have patched the surface. A Word Of Warning So, in short, if you want something that is fun and throwaway, then spend £400 on these bags. However, if you're like my wife and I, and you expect that kind of money to last more than four years - then these aren't for you. It's a big shame - a fun product let down by quality control!!

- 10/02/03 A bit short on words there, but otherwise an interesting review. Needless to say, I won't be buying one. |
