Letter to David Knight, Chief Exec SCS Dear Sir, It is with regret that I must put ‘pen to paper’, but all other attempts at a resolution have met with lies and ignorance- I choose my words carefully. I purchased a ‘Corner group and 3 seater settee’- 9 units in all- which was a display model for a total of 1928 gbp paid for by credit card in 2 stages 228gbp and 1700gbp. We have been unfortunate enough to purchase a sofa from SCS. We bought it last October (06), it was delivered before Christmas as promised. It was a second sofa, for our back room, we bought it for occassional use, to watch movies. It is the Maddision sofa, in dark red leather, three seater with two of which are recliners. We do not have children or pets, we never wear shoes in our home. In August we noticed that the recliners on the sofas were wearing the leather away. Also, the piping along the edge of the recliners was wearing away. We called SCS to report the issue. SCS sent out an upholsterer, who told us it was "wear and ...

Purchased a Leather sofa (£2000) from Chester branch Jul 07. Product delivered had a hole in one of the chairs and a very poor piece of leather in another. These issues were identified by me when delivered however the delivery men would not take the product back and I had to deal direct with SCS customer services. An independant upholsterer has verified the whole and poor leather to SCS head office however 8 weeks later I am still waiting for my suite to be picked up and then another one ordered which will probably take another 8 weeks. DO NOT BUY PRODUCT FROM SCS - none existent customer services if things go ...
