I am going to talk about my experience with CSL at the New Mersey Retail Park in Liverpool. This is the first sofa I've ever bought, so it was a big decision about where to go and what to buy! I also did have a fairly tight budget and I certainly couldn't afford to pay up front. I looked around a few places but thought CSL had a good ... Read the complete review

I once heard someone say that it's important to get yourself a good pair of shoes and a good bed because you are in them the most. Personally, and I think my butt would agree, I would add a sofa to that list. I don't think an evening goes by where I don't curl up on my sofa and either watch a programme or film with my hubby or spend the afternoon ... Read the complete review

When we first got our own place, we had no sofa. A nice guy from our Church heard we were starting up, and offered us one. We went to collect it: an old blue feather filled style sofa in his garage, and at the time we were delighted. Sadly, our delight didn't last long. It was one of those bizarre sofas that basically is perfect until you sit on ... Read the complete review

sofa sofa - refund policy
I have previously had 2 sofas from sofa sofa and have been very happy with them. However, the last one was too low and not deep enough (despite having all the dimensions to get an idea beforehand!) and I was astounded that it has cost us £85 just to basically 'try it'.
I don't think these costs are clearly advertised, so if ordering - be quite sure that it's the one you want!

We had very poor service from SofaSofa. We ordered a sofa from them and they delivered the wrong model. We then ordered two matching sofas in a different style. They delivered two sofas which did not match and were of the wrong colour. All in all we ended up with long periods of waiting and we had to pay a total of £75 in total for delivery and collection for them to take their mistakes away. We never had an apology from them and their customer service was the worst we have ever experienced. We would never order from them again.

The problems currently being experienced at Sofa Workshop have got to be attributed to the management team. I must say, from experience, they do appear to be rather incompetent. I have an ongoing issue with the company and I have received appalling, embarrassing and bungling service. I would put this down to, not just abysmal store management, but to the company not recognising day-to-day problems in-store when they occur, and also not acting on these problems immediately.

I have only been sofa shopping once, because my dad is generally the kind of person that will buy lots of ugly furniture from an auction and then we have to put up with it for the next ten years (only joking if you read this mum!) *cough* Well anyway, I was browsing for furniture for my new sitting room. Most of it came from IKEA, but I ... Read the complete review

I found the service from Sofa Workshop Manchester nothing short of fantastic!! From entering the store the service from start to finish was superb, we chose the Tom Foolery sofa which isn't cheap by any means and it arrived last week and we love it! The quality is like no other sofa we have purchased in the past, it feels and looks as ... Read the complete review

'Sofas in general' is quite a strange category. I could tell you all about how a sofa is constructed. You know the sort of thing I mean. You can have a sofa made of leather, vinyl, fabric, rattan or even wicker. It can be stuffed with kapok, foam, or nothing at all. Choose from 2 seater and three seater, or get a corner unit. Opt for red, blue, ... Read the complete review

SCS - never again. I purchaseda four and three seater..4 weeks late with delivery. Came into house - and by the time the "upholsterer" put it together, there was a gap. I had to phone customer service - and someone came to view. He said he could repair it - by packing and staining. Not an option. I telephoned customer ... Read the complete review

Had my sofa6 months when it fell apart, cost £3400, replaced and new one arrived damaged, refused, third one same problem. Asked for money back, had to go to court to obtain it. Even though judge awarded me my monies back still waiting 4 weeks after judgement. AVOID at all costs. Comunication is very poor, lack of knowledge, poor customer service, promises which were never kept, even tried to change my contract from a 2 year interst free to a 1 year interest free without asking me.

Bought a corner suite and single chair in August 07 from the Chester branch, delivered after 6 weeks as arranged. When the suite was set up the cushions did not fit (75mm gap)and the piping around the top was not straight. Arranged for 2 new cushions to be delivered in October the after care team came out with 1 new cushion not 2 that looked like ... Read the complete review

May 2007, I ordered a sofa from the SCS sofas store in Uddingston. My mother was kind enough to buy them for us, and at the same time ordered a sofa for her house - excellent news for the SCS sales person, 3 x 2 seaters, 1 x 3 seater and a footstool all from the one customer. SCS said that delivery would take around 12 weeks. Fine, exactly as we thought. However 10 months on, I am shocked to admit that I still do not have my sofa from SCS and am now in a long term battle to get the problem rectified.

I feel the time is right to say something positive about SCS. Recently we visited the store in Bristol - had a very pleasant experience - after trawling round many other sofa retailers in the area. The range in the shop was very good, the service we received excellent. The salesman was pleasant, and courteous, no pressure - no hassle.
We chose our sofa, and were swiftly taken through the payment process, told our sofa would arrive in approx 6 weeks - in actual fact it arrived ahead of schedule within 4 weeks. The delivery people were courteous, well organised and assembled our sofa without fuss. Very pleased with the sofa - no problems or hassle - would definitely use SCS when we want to replace this one next time. Thanks SCS - great service!!

We have been unfortunate enough to purchase a sofa from SCS. We bought it last October (06), it was delivered before Christmas as promised. It was a second sofa, for our back room, we bought it for occassional use, to watch movies. It is the Maddision sofa, in dark red leather, three seater with two of which are ... SCS sofa - Romford, first tried to sell me a sofa set which would not fit in my room according to their online planner. Purchased a Leather sofa (£2000) from Chester branch Jul 07. Product delivered had a hole in one of the chairs and a very poor piece of leather in another. These issues were identified by me when delivered however the delivery men would not take the product back and I had to deal direct with SCS customer services. An independant upholsterer has ... Sofa Workshop. There appears to be little work in the workshop. I have purchased two sofas from them and neither are ready. The order was placed in JULY. I am not the only one - friends have suffered the same fate. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. they fail to respond on time and are constantly avoiding questions. I would urge everyone to go elsewhere.

I have had no problems with my recent purchase from Sofa Workshop and was very pleased with the price, the service and most importantly...the sofa itself which for the price was great value. I took delivery of my brand new leather Robertson sofa from Sofa Workshop last week.
