Triton Topaz T80si fitted one in 2005 all went well until it decided to burn out in the wiring supplying the heater cans, not good when the thing was in use at the time and smoke started billowing out the top. Got it changed under warranty engineer said it was a loose connection caused the problem. He replaced the whole unit with a new one good job! coud'nt fault the engineer.
Worked great, performance was good until the replacement went down just outside the replacement warranty, tried to get triton to come out on a free visit but they would not have it they said it was outside warranty and would cost me £95 for a call out with parts included.
I tried everything to get a free call the unit cost £250 and in all I have had 2 units and a repair in the space of 3 years, i even asked trading standards to get involved who gave me advice, but in the end i had to pay for an engineer to come out to sort it.
This time the circuit board had a dry solder joint which caused the heater solenoid to fail, once again a quality issue.
At the moment the shower is working ok with good heat on high, my advice to anyone buying triton shower, dont bother spending loads of cash on expencive units, as you can't guarantee that they will last any longer than a less expensive one. By the way i only get 90 days on this repair so i will have to pay another £95 if the thing packs up again.
My advice dont buy expensive showers from triton by a cheep one worth less than the call out charge and scrap when it breaks and put a new one in, its cheaper in the long run.
