      Take a look at Vertbaudet!

When my son was a baby i recived junk mail after junk mail about different suppliers of baby products, and then a verbaudet catalogue landed on my door step. I was intrigued straight away as they were offering a lavish free gift and free postage with their first order, so i thought i would take a look.

You may or may not have heard of Vertbaudet. This company, as you may have guessed originated in France. It was such a hit in France, that it was launched in the UK in 1997. Vertbaudet is exclusive in the sense that you won't find their products in your local toys r us or argos store, purely from their catalogue and the internet. My catalogue was posted to me, and contained lots of items aimed for babies, toddlers and young children.

Vertbaudet sells clothing, decorative items, furniture and toys. All seem quite bespoke in their design as you can see from the above toybox and i bought this on offer from their website for £27.

The items that Vertbaudet sell are not particularly cheap, but neither are they very expensive and from the items that i have bought from them, their quality is high and i have always had great customer service.

Today i am going to reivew the toybox pictured above, a beautifully crafted piece of kit that my son, along with a second toybox that i bought when he was a baby, use on a daily basis.

The toybox is 45cm by 30cm by 54cm. It is made of wood (a laquered MDF) which is very well put together. The joins are professionally finished and the wheels, which are also wooden have stood both carpet and hard flooring well.

The box is red, orange and white in colour with black and orange wheels. The box has a handle which are designed that the posts are of giraffes in their usual colours with an orange pole connecting the two.

My son has had this roughly 6 months now, and it is yet to chip or dent. He uses it to store his megabloks or toy story toys depending on his mood and pushes it around quite merrily. He has also used this as a shopping trolley, and i have found half the contents of my lounge in there on one occasion!

I kind of wish that i had seen this box when my son was younger as it would have worked well as a walker too. Being made of wood, this item is not light in the sense that a toddler would easily tip it over and is therefore very stable.

Due to the design of this toybox, i do not mind it sitting in the lounge or kitchen. It is of a great design and not over garish like some toy storage unites can be and i am extremely pleased with this box.

I will continue to buy products from Vertbaudet irrespective of the cost, as i know that none of my son's friends have the same box and it is something that is always commented on, as are all of his Vertbaudet bits and pieces. Great stuff!!

      5/5 for me!
