I have never spent a better £550. £550 you say, for a basic piece of furniture, no leather, no cushions, just a plain basic sofa for £550. But let me tell you, this is a sofa with a different. When we moved into our tiny little studio flat we tried so hard to find something that a) would fit in, b) would serve the purpose of a bed and a sofa and c) look good and feel comfortable. Someone suggested to me a futon, something which I had never heard of before.I got to looking on the internet and came accross the futon company website. The website was really well set out and really easy to understand and first impressions were good but I decided to travel to my nearest store on Tottenham Court Road, London W1 to have a better look at what they had to offer. When I got there I saw a great selection of really great futons. A futon is something that is both a bed and a chair/settee at the same time. It pulls out like a sofa bed but is a little bit more classy. We picked this particular futon called Oke Bifold - avaliable in both 2 and 3 seater. It is made of solid oak and is really strong and bulky, great quality and a lovely light oak colour. The bed pulls out and goes away really easy just with one pull and a click and is not heavy at all to put away so suitable for young women who havent got a big strong man to move furniture. The futon cover costs an extra £100 but they often have offers on these where you get it free and it is avaliable in a range of colours. They are easy to take on and off so easy to wash. We actually use this bed every day. I put it away and get it out every day which may seem like a lot of work but it is so easy that it doesnt matter. The futon looks really nice and is a lovely design. It is really comfortable to both sit on and sleep on as the cushion is really thick. I know it seems expensive but please believe me when I say its worth every penny!
