Bridgemere Garden World
Bridgemere Garden Centre is somewhere that I used to get taken when I was a child, around half an hours drive from where I live and it was one of those places that I used to detest being dragged around. I never anticipated ever actually making the decision to go myself but there comes a time in your life when these decisions are made and when you actually go it is considered a good day out.
Bridgemere during the Spring and Summer attracts thousand of visitors day to see the huge variety of nurseries that they have within the premises. Whatever plant or shrub that you require you are guaranteed that you will find it at Bridgemere at a relatively good price, for a prestige garden centre.
Bridgemere has several different areas, a vast outdoor section that houses all the outdoor plants and bushes etc, an indoor section that house indoor plants including a craft section, a organic section where various and unique wines, beers and produce can be purchased. Also there is large section dedicated to nevelty items in which you can more than likely pick something up that you will not find anywhere else and is a little bit different.
There is quite a big area dedicated to fish lovers, although there are not a great deal of cold water fish available, Bridgemere specialise in tropical fish and have ample fish on sale to buy. Terrapins and turtles are also available to buy with complete set up at quite a reasonable cost.
If you build up a thirst then there is a small tearoom where you can get a tea or coffee, and if your appetite needs to be treated then there a meals available and cakes and pastries.
Carparking here can sometimes be a problem as even though they have a vast carpark they get so many people thorugh the door at any given time and it can be a slight walk to actually get to the garden centre if you are parked furthest away.
Bridgemere is a great day out, especially at this time of year when people get green fingered a little.
