Advantages: Great choice of products, cheap, helpful staff. Great range of seasonal goods

Disadvantages: Furniture slightly expensive

I guess many of us on here have all been in the position when we go to move or buy a house or set up student digs that we need to furnish sa house or make a house a home yet have hardly any spare cash to do it, when I moved into my first home the Range store had just opened in my local town...what a relief, where else would I have found items from pop pourri to table mats for low prices and all under one convienient roof!

The Range currently has 37 stores across the UK employing over 2500 staff. I guess it gets its name 'The Range' due to it selling such a vast variety of products. You can get furniture, housewares, gifts, garden items and toys to name just a few. In am lucky in that my local store is close and I can pop in after work to buy things. I have recentlybrought a new garden patio set form there as well as a new collar for my cat and a cross stich present for my friend, you could not get much more diverse than that.

All of the items that you can buy in the Range are a great value and equal to that of what you can buy them for in high street stores if not cheaper, that said I find there furniture to be a little expensive, I was recently looking for a new dining table but found the Ranges choice to be slightly expensive in comparrison to other shops. If that though is the down side then there are many ups..

The gift selection is great and I often find myself in store when buying for friends birthdays, their choice of photo frames are fantastic as well as candles, vases and pictures. You can always rely on the shop for kitchenwares and only recently did I buy myself some new mugs for the great price of £1.50 each! (You could get virtually the same in Next for £2.99 a mug)

The seasonal choices in the Range is fantastic, I love it when they set their christmas displays up, you can buy everything for every colour of tinsel possible to the trees, outside lights and giant inflatable snowmen! The garden centre is a must visit place, I am not the worlds best gardner so the ready planted pots are great and prices start fro as cheap as £7.00, you would pay double that at a garden centre!

The staff are always polite and friendly and if you can't find quite what you are after in store then there is the websire at www.therange.co.uk where you can even now buy a prepaid card to use in store or on-line so go and pay a trip to your nearest branch...you won't be disappointed!

Summary: Take a trip today..you will be spoilt for choice!
