Advantages: sells just about everything

Disadvantages: None

I am very interested in crafts of all kind and frequently search the internet for forums for like minded people. For months I had been reading comments about a shop called the Range which was supposed to be brilliant for buying craft work items but alas we had none in our area. I knew there was a new one near my sister's home in Enfield and thought I would have to wait until I next visited her to have a look at what all the fuss was about.

Well imagine my surprise when I visitedmy local out let centre at Chatham Dockside, Kent and saw they were opening up a Range store there earlier this year. I couldn't wait for it to open.

The shop is now up and running and is one of the best things to happen to our area for a along time.

The shop sells things a bit like Wilkinsons with the home wares and diy bits but a lot more as well.

Our Range is situated across one end of the Outlet centre and it goes over two floors.

On the bottom floor there are quite a few different departents. The garden dept is nice, it has some of it outdoors where they have plants and fences, that kind of thing and they also have a big room with pots, ornaments, hoses and most other things you would want for your garden. They also sell water features and you can see them working as you walk to the out door area.

Inside the main shopping area there is a large pet supplies department which sells everything for every pet including fish tank supplies, toys and treats for dogs, leads and collars, food for all types of animals. We always seem to spend a good 15 minutes or more just looking at all the different things you can buy as we have a dog and like to buy him a present if we go shopping.

They have a really big DIY department and have a good range of paints. I bought a large pot of bright pink paint for my daughters bedroom it was less than £10 and it did the whole of her ceiling and half the walls. The gloss paint was about a fiver a tin andthey had lots of colours to choose from. You can also buy tools and glue etc anything you want for decorating.

Then they have the really big atrs and crafts section. I was amazed by how much they stocked. There are different aisles for each kind of craft so makes it quite easy to find what you are looking for. There are a lot of sizes of canvases for painting on and all the materials you would need like paints and brushes etc.

They have aisles for card making with embessishments galore and gorgeous papers and stamps, scissors and all sorts. Countless coloured inks, fabric paints, paints for glass and ceramics, everything you would get in a normal craft shop but it is so easily laid out and the prices are very reasonable. The brands are well known brands too.

There is an aisle or two for kids crafting too where they had things like coulouring pens and pencils, paper, drawing book, glue, loads to keep the little ones busy plus lots of sets which would make nice presents.

Also downstairs there is a big house hold department selling everything you could want for your kitchen from plates and cups to knives and forks, frommops and buckets, to teal towels and oven gloves. There are lots of different designs to choose from and in all the latest colours and styles.

There isan aisle of greetings cards and different wrapping papers too which are very good value and lovely designs.

By the tills downstairs they sell sweets and drinks but if you want to go upstairs before paying then you can take the escalator or lift up to the nest floor first.

Upstairs they have loads of pretty aisles with vases, ornaments and other lovely items for your home. They are all laid out in colours so if you have a blue room you can see at a glance what would go with your decor. There are lots of beautiful silk flowers too in all colours and by the wall they have the larger vases so you could try the flowers in the vase to see how they look.

They have mirrors and picture frames of all shapes and sizes, again all modern and lovely colours. Plus some wall art like canvses with pictures and flowers on or metal wall hangings.

They sell curtains and blinds, loads of different colours and fabrics to choose from and all sizes plus all the trappings to go with them like rails, poles and hooks.

Bathrooms have never been easier to buy for as they sell everything from towels and face cloths to toliet roll holders and soap dishes.

There is a big selection of bedding with duvet covers, throws, sheets and pillow cases and then there is a big selection of cushions for either the bedroom or for the living rooms.

Out door furniture is upstairs too, during the summer they have had a lot of table and chair sets which are really nice bits of furniture, plus they sell things for camping and other out door activities too.

They have a department for lighting with some really nice lamps and hanging lights and lamp shades. Then there is the big furniture like sofas and beds which are very resonably priced depending on what is there at the time. It is all very modern styles.

They have tills upstairs so you can pay up there. There are also customer toilets and a small coffee shop which I cant really comment on as I havent used the coffee shop yet but intend to one of these days.

Anyway as you have probably got from my review, I am very impressed with out Range store. It is easy to get to and has lots of parking space outside. I am so glad it opened.

Summary: Really impressed with the amount of choice offered in each department
