Tesco Home Insurance:
... couple of years ago my girlfriend was due to renew our home contents insurance (well - its her house, our home) and did the usual internet searches and an additional search on Tesco.co.uk. Tesco beat the cheapest quote from the comparison website by around £40 per year, which is a pretty good saving. We live in a 3 bed house and had requested much more that necessary on re- building costs and more than necessary ... Read the full review: Tesco Insurance Premiums by wickedscamp |

British Gas HomeCare ... my opinion a complete rip off- My mum was bombarded with calls from British Gas talking her into upgrading her Home Care plan , she had perftectly adequate cover for her boiler but was persuaded to upgrade to their highest level of cover. Having had this cover for over a year she called British Gas to ask them to check a small leak in the piping. The engineer left her in tears and with a quote for well over £1000 for piping that he said needed to be replaced. When she explained that she had home care and was covered for the costs he immediatley found the clause in her contract that showed she was not covered !!! I have since organised for a plumber to look at the same ... Read the full review: Don't go near this product by Sam |

British Gas HomeCare ... was sold Homecare 400 with the promise that the outside water pipe between the house and stopcock would be covered, the British Gas Homecare salesperson kept reiterating how important that sort of cover is and how valuable it would be to me etc etc Lo and behold, in the recent cold spell, I got a burst pipe. I didn t realise I had the leak for a few weeks, as the water supply did not completely stop, we just had lower pressure but we still had water. Then the neighbours asked if I had a leak because they had water coming up through their garage floor. Turns out there was a big leak and the floor void was saturated. Now comes the British Gas Homecare lies and dishonesty.... Read the full review: British Gas Homecare 400 - A Total Con by Gavin Cooke |

Admiral Home Insurance ... previously had my Contents Insurance with Barclays and I was with them for 2 years. My Insurance with Barclays went up by around 2 pound each year. So I finally decided to go online and search for a better quote I went onto yahoo and searched for contents insurance. Various companies appeared and I first tried AA, immediately realising I was being ripped off by Barclays! My own fault really for taking the easy way out and sticking with the same insurers. I decided against the AA and then got quotes from More Than Insurance, Post Office and then lastly Admiral. The best quote turned out to be Admiral although More Than was a very close second. The Admiral Home Ins... Read the full review: Admiral Contents Insurance by raebroughton |
