Advantages: Good call out service

I have had Homecare service agreement for 7 years and generally had very good service from them. However the most recent experience involved damage to kitchen worktops. When we reported the incident we kept having to chase the complaint with no one returning our calls. One of their so called managers came to our house and implied that we made bogus claims on an every other day basis. The outcome of it all is that British Gas said "claim on your household insurance". Its a good job we have accidental damage cover even though it is going to cost £100 excess. As well as this BG told us that we would need a new boiler which tghey provided a very top heavy quote for stating that we would need a new gas supply pipe from the meter to the boiler as the existing pipe is 15mm diameter the piep is already 22m. We have had a new boiler fitted by an independant for nearly half the BG quote.

Summary: BG damaged my worktops but would not accept liability

I agree with your summary totally, BG flooded my house when they drilled into my boiler and still do not accept responsibility for the boiler
