I had British Gas homecare for over two years and I was not happy with the service. We called BG because we were having problems with our boiler. I was happy with the call centre and I was happy with how soon the engineer came out, the problem is with the engineers. They aren't concerned whether they fix anything or not, from the moment they come through your door they are looking for the first reason they can give you to leave as quickly as they can without fixing anything. We were told various reasons including once that we had the wrong taps in the bath. When we finally got a real plumber they fixed it. My opinion is that the engineers get paid per house visit, they spend a token 10 minutes pretending they are trying to fix it but they already have a list of excuses and reasons to why they can't that they use in nearly every house they go to and they've picked one for you before they came through your door. Calling them out is a complete waste your time.

Perhaps you should think about how many engineers they have. Over 4500 engineers and most of them pride themselves on there work and try the hardest to complete all jobs first time. Iv only joined this site to see all the complainers and how petty some people really are. If you dont like the service go elsewhere but a vast majority of customer are very happy with the service it only seems to be the customers who are stuck up there own arses that seem to have issues.
